How We Add Value to Traditional Fabric Ribbons

At first glance, it might seem that discussing fabric ribbons doesn’t hold much mystery. However, the truth is quite different. The tradition and experience that Manubens has accumulated since 1934 have been present in every one of the fabric ribbon creations we have made. Thus, a traditional fabric ribbon has become a highly valuable element for all the customers we serve in the various markets where we are present.

The way we add value is what truly sets us apart, making us unique and great. From the beginning of our business with six looms to the present day, there has been a constant evolution, built on daily hard work and effort, always with the contributions of great individuals who have helped shape what we are today.

In summary, when we combine the value of tradition and experience with the value we aim to convey in every new fabric ribbon creation, we achieve a result that will never leave customers indifferent. Those who seek quality and design in a product made with care and offering ample possibilities for use will appreciate it.

MILESTONES THAT HAVE ADDED VALUE TO FABRIC RIBBONS

Since the establishment of Manubens, value has been added in various ways to the work we have been doing. It all began with six looms and six people in 1934, and from then on, we continued to grow, expand, and develop a way of working that consistently provided quality, value, and trust to our customers.

Successful ideas have always been flowing in our Manresa factory, and within just six years from Manubens’ founding, our production capacity had increased to 18 looms. We started working on single-sided satin and produced trimmings for shoes, as well as taffeta or grosgrain ribbon.

Some time later, we began working with double-sided satin, and our facilities expanded in size, reaching 2,000 square meters in 1957. In a similar manner, the workforce dedicated to manufacturing various new fabric ribbons grew, reaching 140 employees in 1961.

In the 1970s and early 1980s, the first needle looms arrived, representing a significant technological advancement that gradually replaced conventional looms. We also acquired looms for Jacquard ribbon production for the first time, allowing us to introduce designs into the fabric ribbons. All of these advancements allowed us to offer a broader range of products, enhancing the quality of all our fabric ribbons.

Continuously, we introduced various management tools to improve quality and service, such as the first computer, which enabled a new storage and distribution system, significantly enhancing the supply of fabric ribbons to our customers.

In addition to constructing a new 6,500 square meter manufacturing plant in 2001, this period saw a determined effort to internationalize the company, with our first presence at the Handarbeit & Hobby fair in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The tradition deeply ingrained in our fabric ribbons adds a unique value.

Many years of hard work and dedication could only lead us to the most resounding success, making the fabric ribbons we produce a benchmark product known worldwide for its high quality.

This has allowed us to build lasting relationships with our customers, and we continue to work to offer them the best fabric ribbons to meet all their needs.

This is who we are at Manubens: transparent, responsible in our work, and fully committed to customer satisfaction.
