FEATURES OF GROSGRAIN RIBBON<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It is typically made from 100% polyester, has a ribbed and textured surface on both sides, and is available in various widths. The ribbon predominantly features the weave, resulting in a very strong and somewhat rigid fabric, making it ideal for women’s clothing waistbands or decorations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another important feature is that it can be washed at up to 40\u00b0C due to its polyester composition, and it can be ironed without deforming for the same reason.<\/span><\/p>\n

It also has a characteristic shine, similar to satin but not as shiny, as the textured appearance of the fabric gives it a less pronounced shine.<\/span><\/p>\n

In summary, it is a ribbed fabric ribbon with texture on both sides, making it reversible. It is primarily made from polyester, although it can also be found in other materials such as rayon or cotton.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the past, this important fabric ribbon was made using traditional looms. This resulted in small wave-like patterns on the edges of the ribbon because the weave extended from one edge to the other during weaving, and this pattern was visible on both sides. Currently, this variation of grosgrain ribbon is being produced again and is known as Petersham, which we will discuss in another article.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHEN TO USE GROSGRAIN RIBBON?<\/strong><\/h4>\n
