Did you know that the widths of woven fabric ribbons have tolerances accepted by the market?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The widths of the ribbons we manufacture range from 3 millimeters to 100 millimeters. These are widths that may differ from the nominal width announced in the sample, as fabric ribbons undergo shrinkage during the dyeing process.<\/span><\/p>\n

The reduction in the size of fabric ribbons during the dyeing process is due to the high temperatures to which the ribbon is subjected, influencing the shrinkage.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this way, the wider the ribbon, the greater the shrinkage it will undergo during dyeing, as a wider ribbon experiences more shrinkage. In addition to width, the material and the structure of the ribbon itself will also influence it.<\/span><\/p>\n

FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE SHRINKAGE IN WIDTHS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The semi-finished product that comes out of the looms must have a greater width than it will have once finished.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thus, a 25-millimeter satin ribbon is woven to 27 millimeters because during dyeing, it will shrink by about 2 millimeters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shrinkage is influenced by numerous factors that make the width of the fabric ribbon to be dyed greater than the resulting width once dyeing is completed.<\/span><\/p>\n
