How we love to decorate with flowers in spring! But it’s a shame how quickly they wither, isn’t it? Would you like to learn how to make these flowers with fabric ribbons and use them as a gift for Mother’s Day? It seems impossible that they could be so beautiful and easy to make. They will look gorgeous in any corner of your home to welcome spring in the most sustainable way!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

To make ribbon flowers, you will need these materials:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

  • Manubens P.320 linen ribbon:<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • 15mm width, color 70 jade<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Manubens P.495 Petersham cotton ribbon:<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • 10mm width, color 65 pale yellow.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Manubens P.117 Hiladillo cotton ribbon:<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • 38mm width, color 0 natural<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 28mm width, colors 71 mandarin, 29 pale salmon, 32 pink, and 76 fuchsia.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Florist green wire.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Sewing needle.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Thread<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Scissors<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Hot glue gun.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>

    How to make ribbon flowers step by step:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>
    \"\"<\/div><\/div>
    <\/div>

    Start by cutting the Hiladillo ribbon into 30cm pieces. Want to make flowers of different sizes? Try different ribbon widths! We used ribbons of 28mm and 38mm width.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    <\/div>

    Now, sew a light stitch along the edge of the ribbon, from end to end.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    \"\"<\/div><\/div>
    <\/div>

    \"\"<\/div><\/div>
    <\/div>

    Gently pull the thread, and you’ll see how the ribbon gathers to form the petals.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    To make the stamens, cut a 12cm piece of Petersham ribbon in yellow. Fold the wire in half and tie it as shown in the image.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Then twist the two ends of the wire around themselves to reinforce the consistency of the stem.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Now, put a dot of hot glue on the bottom of the Petersham ribbon knot.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    <\/div>

    Insert the flower through the wire and glue it with a dot of hot glue.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    \"\"<\/div><\/div>
    <\/div>

    Wrap the wire with green ribbon and give it a few dots of hot glue to secure it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

    Finish the craft with some little leaves, cutting 12cm from the same green ribbon and tying it to the base of the petals on the wrapped wire.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
