This year, we’ve set out to celebrate Easter in a big way with these easy nests to fill with chocolate eggs.
What if a rainy Saturday afternoon comes along? With this craft, you’ll have the kids entertained for a good while. Plus, they’ll have the excitement of spending Easter Sunday morning hunting for the nests and then enjoying the chocolate!
Would you like to learn how to make them with us? You’ll see how easy they are.
1.What will you need?

- Manubens P.320 linen ribbons, available at your regular haberdashery. Depending on the size of the basket, you can choose between the two available widths (15 and 25mm) and select from the 6 shades (all very combinable with each other). Go buy them with the kids and let them choose the colors they like. The fun starts in the store!
- 416: arctic blue
- 70: jade
- Pins
- Kraft paper boxes (without a lid) filled with paper shavings. You can also use a wooden box, bamboo box, or any basket you like. Think that you can reuse it every year!
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun

2. Let’s make the Easter Nests step by step
Take the ribbon and measure the length of the upper edge of the box. Add between 1 and 2 cm for the folds of the corners.

Mark with a pin the place where the ribbon coincides with each corner of the box.

Also, measure the height of the box to prepare the ribbons you’ll need to decorate it.

Cut the ribbon strips, adding an extra 2 or 3 cm for the triangle-shaped finish at the top. For example, if the height of the box is 6 cm, the ribbon strip should have a length between 8 and 9 cm.
Cut ribbons of different colors for a more vibrant result!

Take a ribbon and fold it in half into a triangle.

Fix it with a dot of hot glue so that it stays in place as shown in the following image.

Glue the pieces to the perimeter ribbon, combining colors, with dots of hot glue. The triangle should protrude above, as you can see in the images.

Leave a free space at the end for finishing.

Pass a cord of hot glue along the upper edge of the box.

Glue the ribbon to the hot glue cord. Make sure the triangles protrude evenly from the edge. Tuck the excess ribbon under the initial section for a neat finish.

And there you have our Easter Nests ready to be filled with chocolate eggs. Easy, right?
