Surprise Dad with these handmade keychains

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and as every year, the same question arises: What do we give Dad?

If you celebrate this holiday, we’re here to help. Today, we propose these cool keychains that Dad can use for house keys, car keys, and a thousand other things.

And if you don’t celebrate Father’s Day, you can still make use of these practical – and lightweight! – keychains to organize the keys of each family member according to their favorite colors.

Do you like the idea?

1.To make the keychains, you will need:

  • Manubens P.180 backpack tape in 100% cotton, 30mm wide, in the following colors:
  • 36 tobacco
  • 4 yellow
  • 25 bright blue
  • 56 khaki
  • 20 navy blue
  • 630 strong makeup

  • As many 30mm carabiners as keychains you want to make
  • Thread of the same color as the tape
  • Scissors
  • Sewing machine

2.How to make the keychains step by step:

First, cut a strip of 31cm in the preferred color.

(This step is optional) You can make a zigzag finish with the sewing machine at the ends of the tape.

Pass the tape through the carabiner and fold, leaving a 5cm margin, as seen in the image.

Fold from the other end, making sure the edges are well aligned to pass the machine where the arrows in the next image indicate.

To reinforce, machine stitch in a cross shape between the two seams.

And there you have the first keychain ready to be given as a gift! Easy, right? You can choose the colors Dad likes the most and, while you’re at it, make a few more to give on any occasion.

You know that in the Manubens catalog, you’ll find 18 colors, from white to black, including navy blue or dark green, so that Dad or any family member can have a cool keychain in their favorite color.

Happy Father’s Day!
