Fabric Ribbons: Processes Ensuring Their Quality

The work we have been carrying out since 1934 at Manubens has always been marked by quality, both in the final result and in the process of creating all our products, starting with fabric ribbons.

We know that the customers who seek us out are also looking for the quality they cannot find in similar products, and this information is at the forefront of our minds at all times, and specifically in this article.

Here, we want to emphasize the essence of our brand in each and every one of the processes that ensure that the products we produce are worthy of our name.

The processes that ensure the quality of the final product at Manubens are divided into four steps.

4 PROCESSES ENSURING QUALITY IN OUR FABRIC RIBBONS

First, always with final results based on woven ribbons made from various materials, we initiate a series of production processes that ensure the quality of all the ribbons we weave.

The warping step involves winding a series of threads onto a spool that will be used on the loom for weaving, which we call the warp.

Once the spool is mounted on the loom, the ribbons are woven with the weft, resulting in the woven ribbon without color, depending on the desired stiffness and consistency for each fabric ribbon.

The next step involves dyeing the ribbons. They are immersed in a color bath and then heated for 5 to 6 minutes at a temperature between 160°C to 200°C, depending on the color, to allow the fiber to open and the color to penetrate the fabric. After exiting the oven, they undergo washing baths and are dried and ironed for another 5 minutes at a temperature of 120°C.

Finally, the ribbons are prepared in various lengths and formats: spools, rolls, reels, so that all ribbons are ready for sale, both at the industrial and retail levels.

All the ribbons listed in the catalog are stored to provide a quick response to customers. We have the capacity to deliver an order within 24 hours nationally and within 48 to 72 hours in the international market. All orders are processed in real-time at the logistics center and dispatched using PDAs.

FABRIC RIBBONS: PART OF THE PRODUCTION PROCESS IN OTHER INDUSTRIES

All the processes described in the previous section are always present in all the sectors we work in, namely, in the haberdashery, garment, packaging, and general industry sectors.

The goal is to meet the fabric ribbon needs of all our customers, making these products essential for other processes that arise from the use of fabric ribbons.

These products that are generated are ideal for meeting the needs of the aforementioned sectors, so countless haberdasheries are satisfied with Manubens’ products.

Similarly, a series of fabric ribbons are used to make products such as bag handles, zipper bases, or finishes for bags and hats.

Furthermore, the finishes applied to products, which are definitively managed in the jewelry, fashion, or cosmetics sectors, among others, are part of the packaging market, providing design freedom in line with each brand’s philosophy.

This is how the difference in the products we manufacture maintains the level of quality we have always aimed to deliver, and ultimately, it makes us pioneers in all the new initiatives we undertake to provide better customer service.
