Give a touch of distinction to your Christmas
Christmas is just around the corner, and like every year, we enjoy decorating our home and creating a warm and special atmosphere for the holidays. And of course, decorating the Christmas table with unique and original details is to anticipate the joy of sharing a delicious meal or dinner with our loved ones. The napkin rings we propose today will add this special touch to your table, and you can reuse them on many occasions!
Decorating the house for Christmas is something we love, and that’s why decoration magazines are filled with beautiful proposals. They give us a thousand and one ideas to match our tastes and color preferences: traditional reds and greens, golds, silvers, or the new Nordic styles in white and wood. Christmas tables deserve the same attention, as they are the meeting point for the whole family.
If you carefully observe the details of these tables, napkin rings play an important role in the overall decoration. In addition to centerpieces, tableware, glassware, or cards with the names of each guest, napkin rings provide the final touch to complete the Christmas table decoration.
The DIY project we propose today will teach you how to make napkin rings to add a touch of sophistication to your Christmas table. We have used red and dark green colors, but as we always say, you can choose the colors that best match your tablecloth or the style of your home decor.

2. How to make Christmas napkin rings step by step

Cut a piece of Manubens P.220 cord in the color you have chosen long enough to cover the ring. For our wooden rings with a diameter of 4cm, we needed 2.5cm for each.

Fold the cord in half, pass it through the inside of the ring as you can see in the photo.

Slide both ends through the inside, ting a basic macramé knot. Tighten it well.

Separate the two cord strands and start wrapping the ring using one strand on each side to make knots, as shown in the sequence of photos that follow:

As you can see, you need to pass the end between the circle of the cord and tighten it well. Follow the same steps until you reach the middle.

Now work on the other side, so you’ll reach the other end with the same amount of excess cord.

When the entire ring is covered, glue the cords with silicone and cut the excess.
Now that you have the ring, let’s prepare the ribbon.

Cut a piece of Manubens P4600 gingham ribbon.

Thread a jingle bell.

And tie a bow.

Put a drop of hot glue where you glued the cord ends.

And glue the bow as an embellishment to finish the craft and decorate the napkin ring.

You can make as many napkin rings as guests or make them all the same color or combine two colors as we have done. This, as always, is left to your taste and imagination.
