What will you need to make the headbands?

- Petersham ribbon Manubens P.495 100% cotton:
- Width: 15mm
- Colors: 65 straw yellow, 67 light green, and 929 salmon.
- Headband bases of the same width as the ribbon to be used.
- Hot glue gun.
- Scissors.

How to make the headbands step by step:

Cut pieces of ribbon to make the rolls. We’ve made them in two different sizes to alternate and add more volume. To do this, cut strips of 20cm and 18cm, about 10 of each size.

Save them for later.

Cut two pieces of 5cm ribbon and glue them with hot glue on the bases of the headband, as seen in the images, to finish it nicely.

Start wrapping the headband with the ribbon of the color you’ve chosen. Glue the first end with a dot of hot glue and start winding the ribbon as seen in the photo, making sure it’s well tensioned.

This is what it should look like once finished.
Let’s go for the rolls!

To make the rolls, start from one end and roll it up. Hold the end with a dot of hot glue.

Distribute the rolls by alternating the 18cm and 20cm ones to add more volume. Make as many rolls as you like to create the composition you desire.

Glue them with a dot of hot glue to the body of the headband.

And voilà! You now have your headbands ready for the little ones to wear on any occasion, whether for everyday or a celebration.
Easy, right? Your daughters or granddaughters will surely be delighted to help you with this craft… especially if it’s for them!
